March 18th Rise Against Hunger

Vital, vibrant synagogues are the strongest defense when confronting life’s challenges and working to heal the world. Thus in order to act upon both of these mitzvot, our congregation is taking a different response to fundraising this year.  We are striving to raise funds for our annual sustainability and we want to share our bounty.  In short, the evening promises “2 mitzvot for 1”!

  •  For this event, we will be participating in the meal packaging program launched by the national organization Rise Against Hunger (RAH), founded in 2005. We will sort and pack 10,000 meals for shipment around the world. RAH will provide both the food and all the equipment we require to undertake this mitzvah.  We represent the physical work force!
  • Following the meal packaging event, we will enjoy a casual evening with dinner and dancing.
  • All net proceeds will benefit our Temple community.

We are providing a choice between three (3) different levels of support to attract maximum congregation participation.  Please donate at the level most comfortable for your means.

Online registration has closed, however please come Saturday evening and register at the door!
