Welcoming 5781 Together

In the “big-inning” (beginning) of our High Holy Days preparations we knew it would be imperative for us to design an experience that is uplifting, memorable, and meaningful. For we all need to be strengthened and inspired if we are to continue meeting the challenges that face us. In addition, we all need a bit of fun. Thus, through the extraordinary generosity of the Kalafer family and The Somerset Patriots, we are honored to invite you to experience the High Holy Days 5781 at TD Bank Ballpark in Bridgewater for both Rosh Hashanah Day and Yom Kippur Day. Our evening services will take place in a different format through a virtual connection from our Sanctuary. We hope that you share our excitement in what promises to be a most innovative, unique and exclusive opportunity. We offer our immense and heartfelt gratitude to the Kalafer Family and The Somerset Patriots for opening their home to our Congregational Family.

Please read carefully all registration information regarding logistics, health, safety, security, and weather.

Family Worship: This year our Services will be designed for adults and children alike to share together. Please note there will be no babysitting or separate Children’s Holiday Programs at the Ballpark.
Online Access: Each Service whether held in the Sanctuary or at the Ballpark, will be available via livestream. A virtual link will be sent to the email you use to register for our Services.
Health, Safety, and Security:

  • Attendance: Our in-person High Holy Days’ Services are available to Temple Members, their extended family, and our TOA@MTS families. Only in this way can we maintain state-mandated social distancing within the Ballpark.
  • Mask Requirements: Jewish tradition instructs us to prioritize pekuach nefesh, the saving of a life, in our daily behaviors. Thus in keeping with this teaching and Governor Murphy’s mandate, everyone will be required to wear a face mask.
  • Seating: All Confirmation Emails (Tickets) will include your seating assignment in order to maintain social distancing.
  • Security: For the safety and security of all who will be worshipping with us at TD Bank Ballpark, we will have increased security presence both in and around the premises provided by the Bridgewater Police Department.
  • Bag Policy: In consultation with the Bridgewater Police Department, there will be a bag check prior to entry into the Ballpark. Please consider leaving all large purses at home in order to expedite entry. Small purses and diaper bags will be permitted. You may also carry in clear plastic, vinyl, or Ziploc bags containing your prayer books, kippot, and tallit. Please allow extra time to pass through Security.
Weather and Parking:

  • Weather: In the event of inclement weather or excessive heat, our Service at the Ballpark will be canceled and moved to a virtual platform. (Please pray for beautiful weather.)
  • Parking at TD Bank Ballpark will be in the Red Lot only. This lot will be monitored by the Bridgewater Police Department, and the Somerset Patriots staff will be driving golf carts to transport guests to the Main Entrance.
Registration and Confirmation Emails (Tickets):

  • How to Register: All Temple and TOA@MTS Families planning to attend Services in-person or virtually are asked to register by clicking on the below link. The email that you register with will be the one to receive your ticket, information about the virtual Services, and any changes made to Services due to weather. Registration will close on September 10th. Any questions about registration can be sent to hhd@templeharshalom.org.
  • Who Needs to be Registered: All Congregants need to register even if they are participating virtually for all Services. Through the Registration Form, members can place an order for prayer books, let us know if they are attending Tashlich as well as donate to the Kol Nidre Appeal. Members planning to attend in-person Services will register for their immediate family and Extended Family members. Extended Family members affiliated with another Congregation will receive Reciprocal Seating. The ticket price for Extended Family Members (Adult and Children 13+) is $180 per person, but Children 12 and under are free.
  • Confirmation Emails (Tickets): will be sent to all registered families prior to Erev Rosh Hashanah. and brought with you to Services at TD Bank Ballpark. Please have your printed ticket or your digital ticket ready to be checked as you approach the Ballpark’s Main Entrance. This will enable our Security, Staff, and Ushers to assist you in entering the Ballpark and finding your assigned section. If any member of your family will be entering the Ballpark separate from the rest of the family, they must have their own copy of the Confirmation Email. Your ticket will specify your family’s assigned seating section. All family members (children and Extended Family) will be required to sit together in the assigned section and be socially distant from other families in your section.
  • Reciprocal Seating Requests: If you will be attending a Service at your family’s Temple and need a Reciprocal Seating Request form sent to their Congregation, please contact Karen Anolick at hhd@templeharshalom.org.
