What is Y'dei Kodesh?
At Temple Har Shalom our educational vision has always been one that provides Jewish learning experiences for all ages. As such, we want to address the needs of our post B’nai Mitzvah students who are unable to join us during our fabulous and popular Machon program on Wednesday evenings. THS Machon is the largest post B’nai Mitzvah program in Somerset County! Our teens are making fun Jewish memories while learning Jewish values and bonding with their Temple friends. We also recognize that many of our 8th and 9th graders are unable to join us on Wednesdays. We want to keep all our students engaged and connected to Temple throughout middle and high school. For those students, we have created a special program where we will engage our post B’nai Mitzvah students in learning and living Middot with study followed by social action work in the community.
We are calling this new Sunday Machon program Y’dei Kodesh – Hands of Holiness and we will meet a total of 8 Sundays a year once a month from 11:30am-3:30pm.
What is the Schedule?
11:30-12:00pm - Brunch, Schmooze, Birkat Hamazon, set intention

1:00-3:00pm - Volunteer field work, at organization
