Opportunities for adults to learn and grow as Jews are an integral part of our Synagogue's program. Our adult education offerings have grown over the past several years, with more and more programs being planned. Offerings include Beginning Hebrew (with the opportunity for becoming an adult Bar/Bat Mitzvah), as well as classes and workshops on Jewish Thought, and Topics on Jewish Living. Movies and Yiddish music events are popular too! Given sufficient interest, additional classes will be arranged on almost any topic of Jewish life and/or thought.
At Temple Har Shalom, we believe that Jewish learning through the study of Torah has the power to enrich and enhance our lives. Lifelong learning is a core Jewish value and an important means to building strong Jewish identity and commitment. To the best of our ability, we strive to make Temple Har Shalom a house of learning through all facets of congregational life. We are committed to creating diverse learning opportunities that cover a broad scope of Jewish knowledge, belief and practice. Our goal is to offer programs that are relevant, challenging and inspiring while at the same time providing a social outlet for our entire membership community.
